Description
Solibao is a hallow wooden Igorot drum topped with pig skin or lizard skin this is played by striking the drum head using the palm of the hand. They sounded throughout the hills in times of danger or of mourning and especially during times or feasting. Nowadays, elders allow us to use this on any occasion especially during weddings.These long, slender barreled wooden drums - played with the hands and beaten next to gongs and other musical instruments, like stones, sticks like putting it is a percussion yoke bar made from a tapered piece of wood and struck with a stick.
